One of those times was last week, when we started talking about a student but ended in her office discussing books and laughing at each other's witticisms, and we parted agreeing to get a glass of wine sometime when our schedules are clear.

My parents are doing something the rest of my mothers family has asked them NOT to do, how do I avoid being rejected by parents actions?

I was rejected as a kid because people didn't like my parents and I fear tremendously it will happen again to me as an adult (I am 38).

My mother is being arrogant I feel as she was outvoted 4-1 but I can't bad mouth her really to her siblings as she is my Mom.

I have long feared it happening again and it briefly did over this real estate when my grandparents died 7 years ago.

When I was a kid my mother was at odds with them and I missed out for 5 years on holidays as well as summer travel with her side of the family and it was a huge loss for me.
